sophie shawl

When dyeing yarn, not all outcomes are going to be “the one”. Sometimes it can be off by a lot, other times just one color throws it off balance and it isn’t cut out for the shop. As a crafter, I can’t get rid of any of these imperfect ones because I love them all! Sometimes I’ll put it up as a OOAK (one-of-a-kind) colorway in case someone out there might be interested, but sometimes I’ll use it for my own projects.

cue the sophie shawl! I wanted a project that was quick to work up but that also showed the beauty of the yarn I dyed, and the sophie shawl by petite knit seemed like a perfect canvas for it! As quick of a project as it is, I haven’t been able to give it the attention it needs, so it still sits at the bottom of my tote bag as a secondary project, hoping it will get taken out and worked on again. Though it is taking some time, I hope to get it done soon while the weather is still cold.
